The “HAMMER” is set to fall

With only days to go to the Barrick Goldrush Hammerdown at Esperance & Kalgoorlie Speedways this weekend, all the drivers and teams and waiting in anticipation to unleash there 700hp Super Sedans on two of Western Australia’s hottest race tracks.

In only what can be described as the biggest & best field of V8 Super Sedans ever assembled in the goldfields, the anticipation for this event is massive and can be felt all around the state of WA
 
Leading the charge will be the Rocket Chassis & WA number 1, Kalgoorlie’s own hard charger Robbie Bawdon with local support from Dean Shore and Rick Musarra also two of Kalgoorlie’s hottest Super Sedan Talents.

Other leading the WA charge will be the three higgs boys Dusty, Dustin and Keith along with Troy Brook and Premium Drilling Super Sedan Summer Series points’ leader Kemble Aylett.

As well as 20 of the West’s heave hitters there is east coast raid heading this way led by Victorian young gun Ash Bergmeier who raced to third at the Perth Motorplex last Saturday night and took out the Bill Gibbings memorial 50 Lapper at Albany speedway on Easter Sunday night.

Bergmeier is pumped and cant wait to tackle was best at Kalgoorlie, he is tipped as the next big thing in Australian Super Sedan racing but will be chased hard by  another Victorian driver to figure prominently will be 4 times Victorian champion Lucas Roberts with the two Victorian drivers behind the wheel of Danny Smiths Rocket Chassis cars.

Former national street stock champion and National Super sedan Series contracted driver South Australia’s Bad Boy Dave Gartner should put his Rick Slatter Built Bullet racecar up the pointy end of the field as well as former formula one crew member Dan Miller in another Rocket, after victory in Adelaide last weekend he heads to WA with form on his side.

Leading the NSW brigade is NSW veteran Paddy Ward and the current NSW series leader Lachlan Onley also driving Slatter Bullett Chassis.

Queensland will be represented well with former national Super Sedan champion Darren Kane who will be driving the Will Gould machine this weekend.
 
With 30 of Western Australia’s and the nations best Super Sedan drivers tackling it for over $40,000 in prize money & incentives this will be no place for the  weak at heart.

The all important feature race will unleash 14,000hp on the 450 meter clay way over 30 grueling laps.

This will be one weekends racing not to miss, this Friday & Saturday nights at Esperance & Kalgoorlie Speedways for the Barrick Goldrush Hammerdown.
