Super sedan action tonight @ Esperance Speedway

The Barrick Goldrush Super Sedan Hammerdown hits the Esperance Speedway tonight for the first of two nights of 700 horsepower sedan action, with the second night taking place at Kalgoorlie Speedway on Saturday night.

All the drivers and teams are waiting in anticipation to unleash there 700 horsepower Super Sedans on two of Western Australia’s hottest race tracks.

Leading the charge will be the Rocket Chassis and WA number one, Kalgoorlie’s own Robbie Bawdon, with support from Dean Shore and Rick Musarra - also two of Kalgoorlie’s hottest Super Sedan talents.

Others leading the WA charge will be brothers Dusty, Dustin and Keith Higgs along with Troy Brook and Premium Drilling Super Sedan Summer Series points’ leader Kemble Aylett.

There will also be plenty of east coast talent on display, headed this way led by Victorian young gun Ash Bergmeier.

Bergmeier is tipped as the next big thing in Australian Super Sedan racing but he will be chased hard by four times Victorian champion Lucas Roberts.

Former National street stock champion and national Super Sedan series contracted driver Dave Gartner should put his Rick Slatter-built Bullet racecar up the pointy end of the field along with a fellow South Australian, former formula one crew member Dan Miller.

Leading the New South Wales brigade is veteran Paddy Ward and current NSW series leader Lachlan Onley.

Queensland will be represented by former national Super Sedan champion Darren Kane.

With 30 of the nation’s best Super Sedan drivers duelling for over $40,000 in prize money and incentives this will be no place for the weak at heart.

The all important feature race will unleash 14,000 horsepower on the 450 metre clay over 30 gruelling laps.

If there is one weekend of racing you should not miss it is this Friday and Saturday nights at Esperance and Kalgoorlie speedways.
