The Esperance Feature race would set a High standard for Kalgoorlie to duplicate.

The Eastern Invaders were to serve it up to the Sand Gropers with Kane, Ward and Onley dominating from the front for the first 15 laps.

With those three settling into a rhythm up front, they all had forgotten about Lucas Roberts who was tearing up the highline coming from the back.

Roberts made it to the front three only to have a stoppage halt his progress, however this didn’t stop Roberts showing his Rocket ship to the two front-runners by running up beside them on the Yellow Light.

The green light soon had Roberts running up top only to launch his car into the Back Straight wall and so ending his night.

This event soon inspired Onley and had him pull out to pass his Mentor Paddy Ward and then show the Former Australian number one Darren Kane he was a real contender.

Onley sat on the outside for sometime and eventually had the better drive to grab the lead and take the chequer.

Kalgoorlie was to have the locals on the edge of their seats as WA #1, Rob Bawdon raced well throughout the night to take poll.

This was not to last as Kane, Roberts and Onley soon took on the Local Gun and had him on the ropes in the first few laps.

Once again Roberts went to work building the highline and made his move.

The battle between these four had the crowd flashing their lights and beeping their horn in appreciation.

This time it was Kane who would turn the tables on Onley as he went “Upstairs” and moved into the lead and went on to win the Feature Race and the Overall Win for the Series by one point from Lachlan Onley.
